Marching bands from all four Dubois County high schools fared well as high school marching bands from across southwest Indiana gathered Saturday at Jasper’s Jerry Brewer Alumni Stadium to compete in the Indiana State School Music Association’s Scholastic Prelims and Open Class Invitational.

The Jasper Marching Wildcats, Forest Park Marching Rangers and the Marching Raiders of Southridge all won a gold rating and are advancing to next week’s Open class regional’s.

The Marching Jeeps of Northeast Dubois will be going straight to the Class B Scholastic Finals October 22 at Lawrence central high school in Indianapolis.

19 bands competed at the ISSMA scholastic prelims this past weekend.

Jasper, Forest Park and Southridge will all take part at the Indiana State School Music Association Regional this Saturday October 15 at Central Stadium in Evansville.
