A multinational blend of music and vocal talent as well as humor resonated through the Jasper Engines & Transmission facility on Power Drive Saturday night. With Show #99, Will Read & Sing for Food came together once again with Jasper Endows Today and Tomorrow members who engaged the community with a philanthropic experience.

Jasper Endows Today and Tomorrow started back in 2013, to raise money through their giving circle that consists of associates of Jasper Engines & Transmissions and their families.

Through membership within the company it enables associates and spouses to cast their vote in deciding which charities or organizations will receive the annual grant from JETT.

Their membership in 2013 started with over 30 people and has grown to as many as 75 by 2015.

After reviewing the prospective projects and goals from charities and organizations in September, Jasper Endows Today and Tomorrow came to a decision of four recipients.

Schwenk elaborates on how their initiatives has reached various people across the nation…

 

During the show the Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Arizona, Habitat for Humanity of Crawford County, and Tri-County YMCA in Ferdinand, all received a $5,000 grant award.

Towards the end of the show a final grant of $10,000 was awarded to CASA the (Child Appointed Special Advocate).

Schwenk says she appreciates Jasper Engines & Transmissions for providing their employees opportunities for giving back to their community and other organizations nationwide.

Will Read and Sing for Food will showcase their 100th show on December 16th at  the historic Astra Theatre.
