Lloyd A. Wright, Jr., 70, of Birdseye, passed away at 6:33 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2017, at his home in Birdseye.

He was born May 5, 1946, in Perry County, Indiana to Lloyd A. Wright, Sr. and Eithel (Underhill) Wright; and was united in marriage to Pansy L. Kellems on June 26, 1965, in Cannelton, Indiana. Lloyd enjoyed working and was employed as a carpenter; was a member of the Oak Ridge Apostolic Church in Bristow; and was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider and enthusiast. He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Wright; one sister, Rosalie Allen; and his grandson, Daniel Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Pansy L. Wright of Birdseye; one son, Kenneth (Jill) Wright of Birdseye; two daughters, Dawn Kissel of Grantsburg and Joanella R. (Toby) Hartley of Birdseye; three sisters, Lulabelle Morgan of Birdseye, Mary Kellems of Birdseye and Carolyn King of Boonville; by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services for Lloyd A. Wright, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mentor Cemetery near Birdseye. The funeral service will be officiated by Reverend David Hayes, Reverend Arlie Brock and Reverend Bobbie Renshaw.
