Janice “Jan” M. Schneider, age 73, of Holland, passed away at 12:20 p.m., C.S.T., on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
She was born December 30, 1943, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Arthur “Art” and Mary G. (Kielblock) Fenneman; and was united in marriage to Jerry Schneider on September 5, 1964, in Fort Branch, Indiana. Mrs. Schneider worked at Holland Industries and also at Masterbrand Cabinets for 26 years. She was a member of Holland United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star; enjoyed crocheting, fishing and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Nelta Williams and Cleo Evaskis; and one brother, Bobby Fenneman.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Schneider of Holland; one son, Stan (Mari) Schneider of Holland; two daughters, Shawn (Kevin) Kalb of Dubois and Nicki Schneider of Holland; two brothers, Glen (Stuart Ann) Fenneman of Lee, Florida and Jerry “Butch” (Ruth) Fenneman of Holland; one sister Jean (Bernie) Fehribach of Poseyville; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services for Janice M. Schneider will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Holland United Methodist Cemetery in Holland. Reverend Cindy Keck and Reverend Keith Chanley will officiate at the service.
