Charlie Luebbehusen, 75, of Ferdinand, passed away, Tuesday at 11:50 PM at University of Louisville Medical Center.

Charlie was born July 13, 1941 in Jasper to Raymond and Henrietta (Goepfrich) Luebbehusen. He married Judy Fleig on July 21, 1962 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Charlie was retired from Kimball after working 54 years as a Project Engineer.

He was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish and St. Henry Catholic Knights of America. Charlie was an Oblate of Saint Benedict.

He loved spending time with his family and working outside. Charlie enjoyed attending car shows with his 57 Chevy. He was a volunteer Veterans Driver and also volunteered at St. Ferdinand Church and Sisters of Saint Benedict Monastery.

Charlie is survived by his wife Judy; two sons, Bryan (Diane) Luebbehusen of Ferdinand and Chris (Angie) Luebbehusen of St. Anthony; two brothers, Bob (Marie) Luebbehusen of St. Henry and Phil (Susie) Luebbehusen of Ferdinand; one brother-in-law, Ron Fischer of St. Henry; five grandsons, Matthew, Andrew, Alex, Brandon and Connor Luebbehusen; one granddaughter, Abby Rogier and one great-grandson, Hudson Luebbehusen. Charlie was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Fischer.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-8:00 PM and Saturday from 7-9:30 AM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of Saint Benedict Monastery in Ferdinand.
