A Jasper man was placed under arrest overnight after he was accused of trying to force his was into another persons residence

Just before 2 o’clock this morning Jasper Police say they received a call that a man later identified as 28-year Jeremy Steinhart of Jasper was trying to force his way into a home at an undisclosed location.

Police say an investigation found that the victim in this incident had a protective order against Steinhart.

Steinhart was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on a misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy.

Jasper Police were assisted at the scene by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
