Officials with the Jasper Street Department announced Monday afternoon that University Drive between Hillbrook Drive & Willow Lane that was closed early Monday morning for a work project will remain closed though the day today due to inclement weather.
The stretch of University was shut down around 8 o’clock Monday morning and was expected to reopen around 4 pm but department officials now say that will not be the case and that University along that stretch will remain closed through today again barring any other unforeseen events.
The road located in the College View Estates neighborhood on the city’s southeast side, is now expected to reopen around 4 o’clock this afternoon.
Motorists will need to avoid this area & should use Crestwood Drive as a detour.
