The Jasper Miss Strassenfest Scholarship Pageant will be held this Saturday, July 28th at 7 pm in conjunction with the Jr. Miss and the Little Miss and Little Mister Strassenfest pageants in addition to celebrating the past 40 years of royalty where many of the past winners will be joined on stage.

The event will take place at Redemption Christian Church located at 1450 Energy Drive in Jasper. The facility holds over 1,000 seats and tickets will be available at the door for $5.

This year, six contestants will be vying for the title of Miss Strassenfest.

They include:

Brooklyn Thrasher the daughter of Bill and Christy Thrasher. She will be a senior at Jasper High School.

 

Hannah Rydberg the daughter of Bryan and Janet Rydberg. She attends the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee majoring in Film and Marketing.

 

Hilary Bauer the daughter of Ken Bauer and the late Sheri Bauer. She attends the University of Indianapolis where she is majoring in Communications and Political Science.

 

Melanie Patterson the daughter of Darren and Dr. Ann Patterson. She will be attending Indiana University where she will be majoring in Theatre and Drama.

 

Priscilla Olson the daughter of Richard and Lauri Olson. She attends the University of Alabama majoring in Apparel Design.

 

And Taylor Mitchell the daughter of Adam and Kim Mitchell. She will be a senior this fall at Jasper High School.

 

Scholarships will be awarded to the Miss Strassenfest and 1st runner-up in the amounts of $1,000 and $500, respectively. A second runner-up, Miss Congeniality, and Miss Photogenic will also be awarded.
