Two local high school marching bands played their hearts out at the ISSMA State Finals last night, with one school coming in first in their class.

The Jasper Marching Wildcats and the Forest Park Marching Rangers competed last night at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis as part of the Indiana State School Music Association Marching Band State Finals. The Jasper High School Marching Wildcats competed in Open Class B while the Forest Park High School Marching Rangers competed in Class D.

The Wildcats placed in the Top 5 in Open Class B, coming in behind Greedwood Community Schools, Greenfield Central, Northview (Brazil), and Munster respectively.

The Forest Park Marching Rangers took home the state title last night in Class D. They beat out Springs Valley High School, who were runner ups in Class D.

We here at 18 WJTS would like to congratulate Jasper and Forest Park on their successes this marching season.
