Awards, ice cream and a look at the successes of Dubois County CARES were featured at a special ice cream social last night. “CARES is an acronym for the Coalition for Adolescent Resiliency and Empowerment Strategies Supporting Youth and a family centered culture in our communities. Dubois County CARES believes alcohol and drugs are an issue and want to empower youth to be Alcohol and Drug Free.

The Ice Cream Social was time for Dubois County CARES to recognize those who work to make the Community a safer place for youth. The 2018 CARES Member of the Year was Paige Mundy. The 2018 CARES New Member of the Year is Mike Jones. The 2018 CARES Partnership of the Year is the Dubois County Schools. Libby’s Ice Cream Hosted the Event and featured a special ice cream created for Dubois County CARES.
