The first phase of the US 231 Water Supply and Pressure Improvements is about to wrap up in the next week as long as everything goes as planned.

The second phase in the Water Supply & Pressure Improvement Project will consist of 3 separate sub-phases. Phase 2A will run from Clay St. to Newton St. along 2nd St. It then goes north along Newton St. to just south of the intersection of US HWY 231 & Newton St. Phase 2B continues north along Newton/US HWY 231 to 13th St. Phase 2C will finish up running north along US HWY 231 and then turning east along 15th St. to Main St.

Phase 2A is set to last until January 15th of next year, barring for any setbacks by nature. Phases 2B and 2C are still in the planning process. Lane restrictions will be in effect the full duration of Phase 2A’s construction.

Road Closures will only be in effect while their respective section is under construction.
