Dale W. Hamm, age 81 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at home.
Dale was born in Pike County, Indiana on August 26, 1937 to George and Ruby (Willis) Hamm. He married Joan Furman on December 28, 1956 in Shawneetown, IL.
He retired from Jasper Cabinet Company after 40 years of service, and then drove for Ruxer Ford in Jasper for 14 years.
He was a member of the Church of God in Petersburg.
He was an avid I.U. Basketball, Chicago Cubs, and Indiana Pacers fan. He enjoyed riding his Goldwing Trike with his dog Precious, bowling, and playing cards.
Surviving is his wife, Joan Hamm of Jasper, one son, Robert Hamm and wife Geri Hamm (Loechte), Jasper, two grandchildren, Courtney Hamm (Bill Perry) of Middlesex, North Carolina and Derek Hamm (Kayla) of Flint, Texas, five great grandchildren, Nolan, Rozlyn, Reagan, Gracie, and Landon, and one sister, Eunice “Tude” Cardinal, Olney, IL.
Preceding him in death were one sister, Loretta Hamm, and four brothers, Melvin “Bud” Hamm, Vernon “Pid” Hamm, Donald Hamm, and Raymond Hamm.
Funeral services for Dale W. Hamm will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Pike County. Pastor Don Fausnaugh will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
