4th Street in Huntingburg is officially open for business, and you may even notice some new stores!

Seven businesses celebrated the milestone with ribbon cuttings on Friday.

Executive Director of the Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce, Sara Schroeder, says this has been in the works for years.

Businesses who cut the ribbon yesterday include:

Bean to Sprout, Key Associates, Firefly Boutique, Kim’s Coffee, Ella and Ivy Home, Linda’s Nails, and The Rugged Foot.

The Chamber is also hosting a ribbon-cutting on Monday, December 9th for Offset Promotions at 408 East 4th Street!

The celebration kicks off with a ribbon-cutting at 4:30 pm, with an open house until 7:30 pm eastern time.

Schroeder says this is a monumental step for the city, as they continue to grow in years to come.

And with holiday shopping season in full gear, Schroeder says it was perfect timing and reiterates how important it is to shop local.
