(Vincennes, IN) A Knox County man was arrested overnight for OWI but not for operating a licensed motor vehicle.  ISP Trooper Buchanan was patrolling the 2500 block of 2nd Street in Vincennes around 9PM on Wednesday, August 23rd when he observed a man later identified as 51-year-old John McKee of Vincennes operating a Power Wheels Jeep on the road.

Trooper Buchanan initiated a traffic stop because the “vehicle” had no lights or reflectors, and during the interaction, McKee showed signs of impairment.

The driver of the battery-operated toy later failed multiple field sobriety tests. McKee was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana. He was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Jail on a Level 6 Felony of OWI with a prior conviction.
