With the rising costs in today’s world, one place Hoosiers are feeling the pinch is the weekly trip to the grocery store. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in conjunction with Purdue Extension have a solution to help with your budget and keep you eating healthy as well.

Memorial Hospital’s Clinical Registered Dietitian, Kendra Allen, will present “Navigating the Grocery Store With Ease” on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. at the Martin County 4-H Fairgrounds Community Building. This is a free event in partnership with Purdue Extension, and light snacks will be provided.

Allen received a Bachelor of Science Degree in dietetics at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. She is a registered and licensed dietitian in the state of Indiana and has worked in multiple career settings including long-term and acute care, as well as outpatient education. She currently works in the inpatient, acute care setting at Memorial Hospital and as an outpatient educator in Memorial Hospital’s Diabetes and Nutrition Clinic. Allen is passionate about providing individualized nutritional care to her patients.
