One of the most important rights of being an American is your right to vote. In the state of Indiana, however, if convicted of a felony you often lose that important right. Ahead of the November 5th General Election, the ACLU of Indiana wants to help Hoosiers take back that sacred right.

After a conviction, you get your right to vote back in Indiana the day you leave prison. You can also vote if you are:

✅ in jail awaiting trial

✅ on home detention

✅ on probation or parole

✅ in work release or community corrections

Hoosiers who have been formerly incarcerated should check their registration, and re-register to vote if it has been canceled.
