Purdue Extension is set to hold two Stockmanships Classes in September taught by Ryegate, Montana stockmanship demonstrator Curt Pate.
Curt Pate uses his personal experience incorporating effective stockmanship principles to support a “for-profit” mindset and focuses on highlighting the increased economic benefits of handling stock correctly. Curt also recognizes the growing public scrutiny surrounding livestock production and the impact improved livestock handling practices create for the sustainability of the cattle industry.
These classes will take place at the Southern Indiana Purdue Ag Center, located at 11371 East Purdue Farm Road in Dubois, on September 27th from 1 to 7 PM, and September 28th from 10 AM to 5 PM. The class on the 27th will be focused on Beef, and the class on the 28th will be focused on Sheep and Goat. A meal will be provided to attendees for each class.
The cost to attend is $30 per class and registration is required by September 19th.
