Jasper Arts’ 22nd annual Chalk Walk Arts Festival will once again be held at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center (located at 100 3rd Ave., Jasper, IN 47546) on Saturday, May 17th from 8 AM to 2 PM.

Some highlights of the day’s festivities include:

  • SQUONK! A high-energy, Interactive musical presentation for all the family to enjoy.
  • Balloons by Aaron will be back, creating amazing works of free balloon art before your very eyes.
  • Rolando DeCastro will return indoors to draw caricatures of attendees for free.
  • Two exciting bounce houses, just for kids, will be awaiting screams of excitement and fun on the lawn.
  • Make-and-Take art projects for children will also be available in the Jasper Community Arts Workshops at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center.
  • Chalk Walk t-shirt tie-dyeing, where families can tie-dye their own Chalk Walk t-shirt, creating their very own t-shirt work of art. T-shirts will be on sale at the registration tent for $8 each.
  • And of course, chalking will be taking place on all the concrete surrounding the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, where kids and adults alike will contribute their works of art in chalk on the sidewalks.

Those who wish to participate in chalking can register for $12. Each pre-registered participant will receive a free Chalk Walk cinch sack containing a box of chalk, a free t-shirt (for those pre-registered), and various donated items from local businesses.
