A Jasper man is facing multiple charges following an investigation into two reported incidents of domestic violence.

Police say 30-year-old Yosmani Brito Suarez was arrested on June 27th after a victim came forward alleging he committed domestic battery and strangulation on two separate occasions. According to the Jasper Police Department, the incidents occurred in the presence of her three children, all under the age of 16.

Suarez was apprehended at his workplace that evening, brought to the Jasper Police Department for questioning, and later booked into the Dubois County Security Center. He is charged with two counts each of domestic battery in the presence of a child under 16 and strangulation.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
