Pike Central High School has introduced an opportunity for students through Upward Bound, a federally funded program that helps high school students prepare for college. The initiative supports students who come from low income households or those who would be the first in their family to earn a college degree.

The program offers academic help, college preparation classes, tutoring, guidance on financial aid and scholarships, and activities that include cultural trips, outdoor experiences, group events, and visits to college campuses. The goal is to help students strengthen their academic performance and increase their chances of enrolling in and completing higher education.

Upward Bound has a long history of helping students nationwide overcome barriers to college access by improving readiness and confidence.

Students and families can find the interest form and additional details on Pike Central High School’s social media pages.
