It will be pomp and circumstance as five area high schools will be holding commencement ceremonies this evening and Saturday honoring the graduating class of 2018.

JASPER

At the Jasper High School Gymnasium beginning at 6:30 this evening, 247 students will walk and receive their diplomas.

Among them will be valedictorian Aurora Mendal and salutatorian Grace Werner.

Class President Jacob Barry along with Mendal and Werner will address the class.

SOUTHRIDGE

The Southridge High School class of 2018 will graduate at 7 o’clock this evening at the Huntingburg Memorial Gym.

This year’s valedictorian’s are Tori Tretter, McKenzie Young and Samantha Lange with Kera Jochem as the salutatorian.

All 4 along with Class President Nicole Eckert will make an address during the ceremony.

115 Southridge seniors will pick up their diplomas this evening.

PIKE CENTRAL

141 students will receive their diplomas from Pike Central High School this evening in a ceremony that will take place in the high school gymnasium beginning at 7:30 pm.

Valedictorian at Pike Central this year is Breyton Booker. Adam Martinez is salutatorian.

Jalah Barnes will provide the senior address.

PERRY CENTRAL

Diplomas for 89 graduates seven of which are co-valedictorians of Perry Central High School will be stacked in neat rows on the stage Sunday as the school holds its commencement exercises at 2pm in the high school gymnasium.

This years co-valedictorians include: Madison Alvey, Luke Bishop, Elizabeth Dauby, Hallie Foe, Lane Hilgenhold, Brooke Lasher with Triton Martin to speak to the class.

FOREST PARK

On Saturday, 92 seniors including seven valedictorian’s and one salutatorian will be a part of the 2018 graduating class of Forest Park High School.

Those seven include Madison Day; Collin Hochgesang; James Kelley; Connor Luebbehusen; Elizabeth Miller; Emily Miller; and Erika Uebelhor.
This year’s class salutatorian is Katelyn Tretter.

Forest Park’s graduation ceremony will take place at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon in Buechler Arena.

NORTHEAST DUBOIS

Northeast Dubois High School will hold their 2018 graduation ceremony at the High School gym Saturday evening beginning at 6 o’clock.

HERITAGE HILLS

And 150 members of the 2018 graduating class of Heritage Hills High School will pick up their diplomas in a ceremony that will begin at 3 pm CDT Saturday at the Lincoln Amphitheater.
