Crawford County – Indiana State Police are currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred at approximately 5:17 p.m.EST at the First Savings Bank located at 165 East SR 64 in Marengo.

According to Indiana State Police Detectives, a white male entered the bank carrying a bag and demanded money from one of the bank tellers. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money the male fled the bank on foot. No weapon was displayed during the robbery and no customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery. Detectives believe it’s possible the male fled in a vehicle that was parked nearby.

Description of the Suspect:

• White Male
• Approximately 40 years of age
• Approximately 5’9” tall and 180 lbs. with gray facial hair
• Last seen wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses,
blue t-shirt and blue cargo pants
