Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center broke ground this past Monday on its newest health clinic Memorial Health Washington.
During the ceremony, hospital administrators performed a blessing then unveiled the architect’s rendering for the new building, which will contain approximately 9,000 square feet of space and 14 exam rooms. The building will be located at 600 South State Road 57.
Memorial President and CEO Kyle Bennett announced that Memorial Health Washington will be the home for Dr. Nick Dahl’s current practice, Dahl Family Medicine, as well as a satellite office for additional services such as cardiology, pediatrics, urology, orthopedics, ear, nose and throat, and gynecology. The clinic will also include lab and x-ray services.
Bennett says Memorial Health Washington is more than just a building, it is a dedication to continuing the mission of quality health care, and says the staff of Memorial Hospital is proud to share this mission with the Washington community.
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is of course based in Jasper and serves Daviess, Crawford, Martin, Orange, Perry, Pike and Spencer counties through more than 25 regional health clinics.
Sponsored by the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary since its establishment in 1951, Memorial Hospital provides medical care to approximately 7,000 inpatients, 228,000 outpatients, 30,000 emergency patients, and 1,000 newborns on an annual basis.
