Jasper Police are seeking the public’s help as they look for the driver of a car that struck the rear of another setting off a three car chain reaction accident Wednesday afternoon before leaving the scene.

Police sat just after 3:30 pm three vehciles two of which were driven by 51-year old Angela Loveland of Petersburg and 31-year old Michael Bruner of Paoli were all northbound on US 231 at Pleasant View Drive when police say an unknown vehicle rear ended Loveland’s SUV pushing it into a pickup driven by Bruner.

Both Loveland and Bruner told police they pulled their vehicles off the roadway however the unidentified vehicle did not and continued northbound on 231 leaving the scene.

Witnesses described the suspects vehicle as a tan possibly early 2000’s Ford minivan with a In God We Trust license plate. They say the minivan should have extensive front end damage.
