Graduation ceremonies are set to take place this evening for one of the five area high schools with three more planned for Saturday afternoon.
Seniors at Jasper High School will receive their diplomas tonight while those at Forest Park, Northeast Dubois, and Heritage Hills High Schools will be honored Saturday afternoon.
JASPER
Events will begin at the Jasper High School Gymnasium at 6:30 pm, the doors will open at 5:45.This year’s Valedictorians will be Nicholas Freyberger and Brandon Sizemore. Salutatorian will be Luci Hulsman.
A total of 277 graduates will receive their diplomas with 274 taking part in tonight’s ceremony.
FOREST PARK
At Forest Park the class of 2016 will graduate at 2 pm Saturday at Buechler Arena. Diplomas will be awarded to 104 students.
Valedictorians this year include Kelli Buechler, Blake Emmert and Jackson Faulkner. They will each provide an address with the theme past, present and future .
This year’s Salutatorians are Isaac Austin, Payton Begle and Luke Steffe.
NORTHEAST DUBOIS
Northeast Dubois High School will see a total of 66 graduates with Valedictorians Patrick Betz, Jaxon Denu, Drew Jacob, Kennedy Neukam, Hannah Wehr speaking.
Salutatorian Kaden Quinn will welcome all in attendence, Class President Hannah Wehr will present the class and FCA Presidents Kennedy Neukam and Drew Jacob will close the ceremony.
HERITAGE HILLS
At Heritage Hills, The Class of 2016 will graduate tomorrow afternoon at 2 central time at the Lincoln Amphitheater. 128 graduates will be presented with their diplomas.
This year’s Valedictorians are Seth Bolin, Rebeka Mercker and Jamie Tempe. They along with Salutatorian Jacob Peters and Class President Trevor Gress will speak at the ceremony.
Southridge held their 2016 graduation ceremonies at Huntingburg Memorial Gym last Friday.
