Forest Park High School has a new assistant principal.

Last night the Southeast Dubois School Board promoted David Welp as the school’s new second in command at their monthly meeting held at Cedar Crest Intermediate School.

The 28-year old is a 2006 graduate of Forest Park and studied at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro earning his master’s at Oakland City University.

His career in Education began at Union County High School in Morganfield, KY and continued at Apollo High School in Owensboro before moving back to Ferdinand two years ago.

Welp will succeed Jaime Pund who succeeded Jim Mehling as Forest Park Principal earlier this year.
Welp and his wife have 1 child.
