Four local students were recently presented with renewable scholarships worth 1-thousand dollars from the Thermwood Corporation.

Among the four was Colton Glenn, He is the son of Jim and Doris Glenn of Ferdinand. Colten graduated from Forest Park High School last month and plans to attend Vincennes University this fall. He has been a member of the Forest Park Band and has participated in wrestling and succeeded in being a semi-state qualifier and a sectional champion. He has also been involved in Boy Scouts, and also an Eagle Scout.

Kristina Nelson is the daughter of Jason Nelson and Ryan and Mary Callahan of Gentryville. She is a 2016 graduate of Heritage Hills High School and is enrolled at Ivy Tech to study Criminal Justice. She was a member of the Heritage Hills choir.

Farrah Frakes the daughter of Dawn Tullis of Santa Claus is a 2016 graduate of Heritage Hills. She’s headed for Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis this fall to study Exercise Science and Occupational Therapy. At Heritage Hills she was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta, Optimist Club, Pep Club, and a cheerleader.

The forth recipient was Jacob Pund, the son of John Pund and Kim Fleck, is also a 2016 graduate  from Heritage Hills High School. Pund will be attending the University of Southern Indiana this fall to study Nursing. During his time at Heritage Hills he was in the football and track teams. He also participated as a member in the FFA and St. Ferdinand Church.
