Dan S. Kieffner, age 54 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 2:43 p.m. CDT on Sunday (July 24, 2016) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana after a 14 year battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma leukemia.
Dan was born in Jasper, Indiana on January 11, 1962 to Richard and Marjorie (Trimble) Kieffner, and raised by Richard and Carol (Prechtel) Kieffner. He married Gloria Osgatharp in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 23, 1984.
He attended Rose-Hulman University, where he received his bachelor and master degrees in Electrical Engineering and later received his doctorate in Business Administration from North Central University.
He worked for 32 years at Crane Naval Base.
He was a member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper, Indiana, where he served as an elder and was very active with the youth ministry.
He loved life and enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing, working in his garden, and working toward his goal of attending a game in every major league baseball stadium.

Funeral services for Dan S. Kieffner will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (July 28, 2016) at Redemption Christian Church of Jasper with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Haysville, IN.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (July 27, 2016) at Redemption Christian Church in Jasper, Indiana, and from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Thursday.
