In a press release from the office of State Representative Mike Braun of District 63, Braun of Jasper went back to the classroom yesterday as part of the “Educator for a Day” program at Ireland Elementary School.

Mike Braun spent the day alongside fourth-grade teacher Nikki Roberts, helping to facilitate discussions, speaking to her 26-student class and observing daily activities. He also brought a pair of tennis shoes to participate in their physical education lesson.

Braun thanked Roberts for her invitation to spend time in her classroom and work with students.

He says the Educator for a Day program provides a great opportunity for lawmakers to see firsthand the hard work Hoosier teachers put in to prepare children for future success.

He says students in southwest Indiana continue to be well-served by the dedicated faculty and staff in local schools.
