Clarence “Ponce” Kunkler, age 85 of Saint Anthony, Indiana passed away at 4:05 a.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017, in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born at Saint Anthony, Indiana on October 27, 1931 to Leonard and Mary Rose (Englert) Kunkler. He married Rose Marie Horney August 30, 1958 in St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Clarence served as a military policeman during the Korean War. He retired from the Indiana Desk Company in Jasper where he worked for many years.

He is a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Campus. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper.

He enjoyed gardening, Casino trips and country music and his Farmall tractors.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Divine Mercy -St. Anthony Campus with burial to follow in St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct Military grave side rites.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, (January 31, 2017) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and 1 hour before services at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish St.
Anthony Campus.
