Othmar H. Troesch, 81 of Ferdinand died Friday January 27th at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center, Jasper. He was born in Saint Meinrad on September 20, 1935 to Norbert & Anna Marie (Hasenour) Troesch. He married Kathleen V. Brosmer on April 11, 1970 in Sacred Heart of Jesus in Schnellville, In. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2016.

Othmar was owner of OT Trucking and was a self-employed service station mechanic. He was a member of Saint Meinrad Parish, St. Meinrad Legion Post 366, and St. Meinrad K of C # 5599. He enjoyed working, fishing, and being with family & friends. Othmar was preceded in death also by two brothers, Clarence Troesch and Louis Troesch in infancy, One sister Bernice Waninger.

Surviving are a daughter, Rachael (Chris) Fortune of Boonville, One son, Robert (Tracy) Troesch of Ferdinand. Four grandchildren, Lauren & Owen Troesch, and Austin & Zakkary Fortune. Three sisters, Dorothy Beckman of Georgetown, Barbara (Dennis “Duke”) Franchville of Floyd Knobbs, & Norma (Ray) Kessner of St. Anthony.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday February 1st in Saint Meinrad Catholic Church, Burial with military graveside services by St. Meinrad Legion in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand, and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Meinrad Parish.
