Jasper Police were busy early this morning beginning with a hit and run at the Taco Bell. Just after 2 am Jasper police received a call of a hit and run at the Jasper Taco Bell. An unknown vehicle believed to be an early model, dark colored Chevy impala had jumped the curb at the taco bell parking lot and struck the south side of the building causing structural damage.

The vehicle then fled the scene. It was last seen traveling South Bound on Newton St. The vehicle is not thought to have heavy damage but any damage would have occurred to the front end of the vehicle. The driver is believed to be a male and had a long haired female passenger.

There were no injuries reported from the accident.
