Huntingburg Police are looking into the discovery of a minivan that was found crashed into the side of an OFS Brands plant on the city’s far west side over the weekend.  Police are asking for the public’s assistance  as they investigate.

HPD officers reported that just after 1 am Saturday they received a call of a possible vehicle crash off Chestnut Street near an OFS Plant.

A search eventually found a vehicle that had completely slammed into the side of one of the company’s facilities directly across from 19th Street from County Road 400 West.

Police say it was a van that belonged to a Huntingburg man that police did not identify and that there were no occupants found in or near the vehicle.

Police say the vehicle had completely crashed into the factory causing debris to fly across the inside of the building damaging equipment inside as well. Police consider the van as a total loss.

Police say the owner of the van showed up at the scene while they were conducting their investigation.

The investigation remains open and is still ongoing on determining  who the driver was and who may have been passengers when the incident occurred.

Anyone with any information as far as who might have been driving or who else may have been involved is asked to contact the Huntingburg Police Department at 812-683-3003.

Huntingburg Police were assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
