A local Birdseye man that was wanted for questioning in reference to multiple thefts has been taken into custody.

At 7:30 pm last night Dennis Denny Burgdorf was taken into custody in Hildago County Texas. As multiple agencies worked to locate his whereabouts.

34-year old Burgdorf of Birdseye was originally wanted for failing to appear in the Dubois Superior County in late March for a pending narcotics arrest. Subsequently he was also wanted for questioning in reference to multiple thefts and vehicle thefts that occurred in Dubois County, particularly Eastern Dubois County and other surrounding counties.

He was located and apprehended with the assistance of the Indiana State Police and the U.S. Marshals Service. Burgdorf was taken to the Hildago County Jail and is awaiting extradition proceedings.
