The first-ever Lincoln LandDrone Fest and Santa Claus Cup Drone Race will take place at Yellig Park in Santa Claus Saturday May 13th. The family-friendly fest is free to the public and all ages are welcome to attend from 10 am through 4:00 pm CDT.

The Lincoln Land Drone Fest will include hands-on demonstrations, including a presentation from the National Guard Military and their RQ-11B Raven Drone. There will be booths featuring area companies and organizations to educate the public on how drones work and where they can fly, as well as exhibit information on how drones are creating new job opportunities.

This fest is designed around UAS (DRONE) technology and will feature a drone race by the FPV Race League, a professional drone racing organization based in Louisville.

The Santa Claus Cup race will take pilots along a custom figure-eight track, through the woods, and between gates showcasing the story of Abraham Lincoln’s time in Indiana. Pilots will earn points that contribute to their drone racing standing in accordance with MultiGP Drone Racing, a national standard for point accreditation in drone racing.
