Mary Leinenbach, age 75 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 5:25 a.m. Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at Brookside Village Health Care Center at Jasper.

She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on November 25, in 1941 to Gertrude (O’Brien) Berry. She married Thomas “Bud” Leinenbach on June 15, 1963 in St. Stephens Cathedral in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Mary, a registered nurse, was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Evansville, Indiana. She had worked for the late Thomas Gootee, MD and later as a volunteer school nurse in Jasper.

Her passion was family, Irish, and German genealogy.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper and their Blessed Virgin Sodality.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Rosary will be held at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday by the blessed Virgin Sodality at the funeral home.
