It has come to our attention that City of Jasper Municipal Utilities residential customers have been receiving phone calls stating there is a problem with their credit card information on file and it needs to be updated. This is a scam. The call is spoofed and looks like it is coming from the Jasper Municipal Utilities phone number of (812) 482-9131 on your caller ID.
Jasper Municipal Utilities does NOT accept credit cards as a method of payment, and WILL NEVER ask for payment information over the phone.
Please be aware of this situation and do not give any payment information out over the phone. If you have any questions about your utility account, please call (812) 482-9131.
