In response to a decline in flu cases reported in the area and throughout the state, officials with Jasper’s Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center say they are lifting its visitation restrictions effective immediately.

The hospital says they will continue to closely monitor local flu activity, and encourages individuals with flu-like symptoms to postpone their visit until symptoms have subsided, including:

· Cough

· Sore throat

· Fever

· Chills

· Aches

· Runny or stuffy nose

· Vomiting or diarrhea

Visitation restrictions were implemented this past December 28th, in order to protect patients, families, and hospital staff.
