Collette Porter Kennedy, 70 of Ferdinand passed away Sunday April 8th in Ferdinand. Collette was born March 27, 1948 to Bernard P. & Priscilla (Birchler) Porter in Fulda, In.
Collette retired from the state of Tennessee. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, drawing and painting. She was a member of the Ferdinand Senior Citizens. She was a Reiki Master massage therapist.
Surviving are brothers, Patrick Porter of Newburgh, and Charles (Rachel) Porter of Bristow. Sisters, Jean Hay of Austin, TX., Linda Durcholz & Denise Porter both of Ferdinand, Joyce (Earl) Parker of Forney, TX., Judith Stillwell of Evansville, and Debbie (John) Blakey of Gentryville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces & nephews. She is survived by her dog Timmy. Collette was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Ann McMahon, and four brothers, Regis, James, Tom and Mike Porter.
Visitation will be held at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand Wednesday April 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM EDT. Cremation was chosen by Collette. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
