A Pike County man found passed out in his vehicle in a Northside Jasper parking lot Wednesday afternoon was eventually placed under arrest on a trio of drug related charges.

Around a quarter till 5 yesterday afternoon, officers with the Jasper Police Department were called to a parking lot located along Twenty Fifth Street where an unresponsive male subject was discovered slumped over in a vehicle.

When police arrived on the scene, they made contact with 26-year old Jeremy Pride of Petersburg.

Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services later arrived on the scene, but police say pride refused medical treatment.

Police say an investigation resulted in the discovery of two glass smoking pipes, a container with methamphetamine and four pills that were found to be in Pride’s possession.

Pride was taken into custody and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Jasper Police were assisted at the scene by Memorial Hospital EMS and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
