Betty Jean Waninger, 74, of Huntinburg, passed away on Friday, May 25th.

Betty was born January 25, 1944 in St. Anthony, In. to Anthony Sr. and Elizabeth (Englert) Braunecker. She married Norman Waninger on May 19, 1962 in St. Anthony.  Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Anthony Community Center and also Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church.  Betty enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Betty is survived Her husband Norman Waninger, two daughters, Denise (Rick) Kitten of Ferdinand and Brenda (Byron) Ison of Jeffersonville; five sisters, Virlee (Eugene) Gehlhausen of Huntingburg, Beatrice (Dave) Recker of St. Anthony, Martha Miller of Jasper, Annette (Bob) Schepers of Celestine and Marlene (Larry) King of Huntingburg; two brothers, Jerry (Sandy) Braunecker of Haysville and Kenny (Marlene) Braunecker of St. Anthony; four grandchildren, Hannah Ison, Max, Ben and Sara Kitten. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Kevin, Anthony Jr. and Donald Braunecker.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM in Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Campus, St. Anthony with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8:00 PM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and Thursday at the church 9:00 AM until service time.
