Officials with the Jasper Street Department have been informed by Calcar Paving that beginning today (Monday, May 7th) Calcar workers will resume paving on South Newton Street from the Veterans Memorial Bridge south to the State Road 162 southside bypass.
Calcar crews began milling work of that stretch of South Newton Street a week ago and are now ready to begin the paving process.
Work will begin today and will continue till completed barring any inclement weather or any other unforeseen events.
The Jasper Street Department will close South Truman Road between Andrew Lane and 5th Avenue today (Monday, May 7th) for the replacement of a storm sewer.
South Truman Road will be closed at 8 AM and should be re-opened to traffic around 4PM.
The project should be completed in one day barring any unforeseen events or inclement weather.
