Weather permitting, the Jasper Street Dept. along with its contractor, RejuvTec, will begin Jasper’s next pavement preservation project on Thursday, July 19. This project will span over a several day period.
Residents along the affected streets will be notified with a door hanger & “No Parking” signs the day prior to work beginning on their street. All vehicles & traffic must be removed from the scheduled roadway no later than 7:00 A.M. The contractor will close the street while applying the Reclamite treatment. Sand will be applied to increase traction during absorption. No Traffic will be allowed on these streets until sand has been applied & the street has been cleared for traffic to flow, as the street will be slick & oil will adhere to vehicles.
Motorists need to keep speed at a minimum for several days following application of this process, as to prevent this substance from adhering to vehicles.
In the event of inclement weather or any other unforeseen events, the work schedule will be revised.
