Ben Gunter, age 73 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 4:36 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, IN.
Ben was born in Winter Haven Florida on December 24, 1945 to James and Mary (Cowart) Gunter.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Ben retired as an I.T. Manager from the Greater Jasper School Corporation.
He was a devout member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.
Surviving are one daughter, Stephanie Lang, Winter Haven, FL, two sons, John Gunter (Holly), Lake Alfred, FL, and Corey Gunter (fiancé Luisa Alava), Newark, DE, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister and one brother.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Ben Gunter will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date. There will be no visitation before the Mass.
