A Huntingburg man was arrested for resisting law enforcement in Jasper yesterday.

Police say 20-year-old Trevor Weitkamp was caught speeding around lunchtime on US 231 on Thursday.

According to police, Weitkamp failed to stop when they tried to pull him over.

After this, Weitkamp allegedly turned onto Indiana Street, then onto Second Street before stopping in the Digestive Health Care parking lot.

He was taken into custody without further incident.

Weitkamp was booked into the Dubois County Security Center and charged with Felony Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle and Reckless Driving.

Weitkamp also received citations for speeding, driving left of center, and disregarding a stop sign.
