Indiana State Police will be conducting a series of sobriety checkpoints in the next few weeks.

ISP says a checkpoint in Knox County will be on Sunday, August 18th and a checkpoint in Perry County will be on Friday, August 23rd.

The exact locations and times will not be released.

Motorists that are not impaired may experience delays of 2 to 3 minutes while passing through the checkpoint.

Troopers encourage all drivers to call 911 or the closest ISP Post if they observe another motorist who may be impaired.

Be prepared to give a description of the vehicle, location, and direction of travel.

The Indiana State Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue conducting saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers.
