A local counseling center is closing its doors for good… just days after receiving a large grant.

New Visions Counseling Center celebrated opening its Jasper office with a ribbon-cutting last year.

The counseling center was one of the facilities awarded a $60,000 grant to offer free services to local addicts.

There’s no word yet on why the counseling center is closing or how the grant will be effected.
