A house fire in Pike County sent someone to the hospital.

Wednesday morning, firefighters were called to a house on Highway 56 in Cato.

When firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters believe the fire started because of a kitchen fire.

One person was injured and was taken to a local medical facility.
