No one was injured after a fire left a Spencer County home a total loss.

Local officials say the fire started Sunday morning at a house south of Eureka. No one was in the home when the fire started.  Neighbors are the ones that noticed the fire and called for help.

Several specialized trucks had to be brought in to fight the fire since the home is nowhere near any fire hydrants.

The cause of the fire is unclear at this time.
