County by county unemployment rates for the month of April has been released.
Daviess County had the 4th lowest jobless rate in the state with a 2.5% rate.
Dubois County ranked 7th in the state with a 2.8% rate.
The numbers for our surrounding counties include Martin County at 2.9%, Warrick at 3.3%, Spencer and Gibson counties at a 3.0% jobless rate, Knox at 3.2%, Perry at a 3.4% rate, Pike County at 4.8%, Crawford at 4.1%, Vanderburgh County at 4.4%, and Orange County with a 4.8% jobless rate.
The statewide unemployment rate stayed at 3.9% in April, which is still below the national rate of 6.1%.
